Overview

Matcha de Viziers (first name changed from Florentina to sound more badass) is a generally obscure existance. She enjoys nothing more than obliterating her foes whilst sucking on a lollipop, and once this has been done, she will dutifully sit down for a quiet cup of tea with her Pokemon. Whilst she comes across as a fairly decent person, beneath the surface she's a through and through criminal despite her thorough upbringing as a snob - that, however, does not stop her from doting on her Pokemon. Though, she can be a little shallow with her reasons for capture...
All her Pokemon are named after desserts; it's all part of her clever ploy to lure her opponents into a false sense of security and then crush them underfoot later.

Bio

Deciding that her stately, rigid family home on the outskirts of Floaroma Town was absolutely unbearable, she stole some money, clothes and her favourite tea cup from her parents, and made out into the world in search of battle and excitement. Matcha resolved to have a team of insanely badass fighters, and holds ambitions of one day joining Team Rocket, usurping power and making it her own. Failing that, a Gym Leader, Frontier Brain or Elite Four position would suit her just fine.
Chasing those goals, she started her Pokemon adventure aged 15 and has since spent 4 years wandering around the Pokemon world, collecting gym badges, honing battling techniques and generally having a bit of a party with her Pokemon. She has yet to pick up any of the 8th badges, simply because she feels that she'd be too sad at the thought of her gym quest being over. However, once she has all four regions' badges up to 7, she'll move on and take her team all the way to the Elite Four.
Throughout her journey, she has caught a fair number of Pokemon, although her six main companions are as follows.

Souffle the Drifloon

The first Pokemon she caught, rather, bonded with, was Souffle the Drifloon. Not long after she had left her home, she came across the wayward balloon trying and failing to abduct a small child near Valley Windworks with its string like arms. Deciding that clearly this thing had ambition for greatness similar to her own, she adopted the Drifloon and they have been inseparable ever since. Souffle, while slightly hysterical at times, is a surprisingly competent battler and never hesitates to leap into any situation, no matter how hopeless it may appear. He is also (post a relentless training program) deceptively strong and can is used as transport upon occasion, happily letting Matcha grab his strings in order to fly, be it not in the traditional sense.
Souffle has a deep rooted fear of evolution, for some reason that Matcha has not quite managed to fully suss out yet. She reckons, however, that the Drifloon might be aware that if it evolved, it would not be as cute, and therefore might not be loved as much. This, however, is a baseless fear, as Matcha adores Souffle with every fiber of her being.

Baklava the Jolteon

Baklava soon joined the team after it stole Matcha's crown back when it was an Eevee. Again, impressed by it's criminal guts and all round cheekiness, it was captured and now holds the ever important role of kettle powerer. She still is very good at stealing, something which her trainer makes full use of.
Baklava is often exasperated by her trainer's bold approaches to things, however. Sometimes she wishes that Matcha would be slightly more modest, but then she remembers that it's probably because of the arrogance that she can continue stealing.

Truffle the Flygon

Truffle was discovered as a Trapinch. Rather, he was first seen clinging on to Matcha's skirt - after further thought she realised that it had been there for a good day. She still doesn't quite know why it hung on so desparately, but regardless, Truffle grew to be her strongest Pokemon even if a bit of a bastard upon occasion. Perhaps it is for this reason that he is one of Matcha's closest companions.
His earthquake causes considerable havoc whenever used, so naturally, Matcha uses this to a great extent. She might even call it her favourite battle move.

Parfait the Lapras

Parfait was caught after a fairly taxing battle, and was a target in the first place solely because she matched Matcha's jacket. However, she transpired to be a hardy Pokemon, even if a surprisingly modest one, and makes a wondeful boat.
Matcha often despairs as to how sensible Parfait can be; the Lapras often finds it quite difficult to keep up with her trainer's whimsical schemes and consistantly insane actions. Regardless, they share a strong, if bizarre bond.

Bon-Bon the Blissey

Bon-Bon was a reluctant addition as Matcha didn't believe that the Happiny could ever grow into a suitably badass Pokemon for her team. Regardless, it was accepted on the grounds it would make a pillow.
When it evolved into Chansey, the first thing Bon-Bon did was to draw a grumpy face on its egg in the hope that it would accepted as a badass member. Moved by this action, Matcha accepted her, and was deeply alarmed when she eventually turned out to be one of the best tanks around. Bon-Bon adopted a rough attitude in the quest to gain approval and never lost it - she would rather be seen playing poker with Granbulls than healing at some lameass Pokemon Center.

Macaron the Skarmory

The newest addition was Macaron, mainly because it looked spikey and had the attitude to match it. Yet to discover true synergy with her new partner, Matcha is slightly wary of the Skarmory, however is fully confident that they'll end up best buddies ...Even if he does seem entirely intent on eating Souffle.

It was with this team that she came to Battle Frontier to find glory, other peoples' money and maybe even some minions - let's see how far she gets with that... It should probably be mentioned that deep down, her real reason for coming was to run away from the 8th Sinnoh Leader. She had no doubts of her victory - rightly so - however, it suddenly hit her that things were getting a little too real, and obviously the appropriate response was to run away. Apparently, Battle Frontier is a good place to go for self imposed fugitive trainers.
